Thursday Film Series is a free, weekly cinema club based at the Institute of African Studies, University of Ibadan I co-curate with other students dedicated to using cinema as a tool for socio-political consciousness and intervention, offer safe space for freedom of expression, thought and conscience, artistic education through thematic and conceptual analysis of films (fiction and documentaries) annual film festival. It adopts the 21st century compliant method of making education fun while at the same time emphasizing the importance of internalizing each learning experience. Occasionally, accomplished and emerging artists are invited to discuss their works and methodologies.
